Finding Binham Priory

Binham is situated in the middle of North Norfolk about 6 miles from Fakenham, Holt and Wells-Next-the-Sea. Surrounded on all sides by medieval churches, it was on the pilgrimage route from the local ports of Blakeney, Cley and Wiveton to the shrine at Little Walsingham.

The Post Code is NR21 0DQ, and the O.S. grid reference is 982397.

Binham is fortunate to possess a fine pub (which brews its own real ale),  a shop (which sells everything) and a petrol station: things to be cherished after doing one of the fine circular walks in the area, bird watching on the coast, or just stocking up for a meal when you get back home!

Binham Priory is accessed from Warham Road, through the old Priory Gatehouse. There is some parking in front of the Priory.

The physical access to the Priory has been improved with help from English Heritage and the National Lottery, so that paths to the Priory Church and ruins are ‘wheel chair friendly’ – disabled access to the site is one of our main concerns, and lavatory facilities are also available.
